BrainBridge is bringing together a collective of highly competent scientists dedicated to extending human productive longevity. While the concept of the whole body transplant is not new, there is a number of technical challenges that need to be overcome and we are looking for team members with proven expertise in the field. One of the main objectives of presenting and popularizing the BrainBridge concept at this early stage of development is to attract top talent from around the world interested in pushing the boundaries of biomedical science and changing the world for the better.

Responsible for advancing the design, development, and deployment of brain-computer interfaces, this role focuses on the direct interface between invasive neural recording devices and computational systems that decode and translate neural signals into machine commands. Key technical aspects include optimizing signal acquisition, noise reduction algorithms, and real-time data processing architectures which are integral to enabling complex motor and sensory functions in transplant recipients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience at Neuralink, Science Inc, and comparable companies specializing in invasive brain to computer interfaces is preferred.
  • PhD in Computational Neuroscience, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, with specific training in neural engineering.
  • Extensive experience with implantable neuroprosthetics, electrophysiology, and in vivo neural recording techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in DSP algorithms, machine learning for pattern recognition in neural data, and robust system integration.
  • Prior impactful publications in top-tier journals on brain-machine interfaces or related fields.

Developing robotic systems for ultra-precise surgical interventions, essential for the delicate operations associated with transplantation. Responsibilities include the design, simulation, and testing of surgical robotic mechanisms that offer enhanced dexterity and reduced invasiveness. The role also involves pioneering advancements in haptic feedback and autonomous surgical procedures, critical for improving surgical outcomes and patient safety. Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics with a thesis on medical robotics.
  • Proficiency in CAD and CAM software tools, kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic systems, and experience with surgical simulators.
  • Background in developing FDA-compliant medical devices, with a strong understanding of biomechanics and soft tissue interaction.
  • Publications in relevant engineering journals or conferences showcasing innovative surgical technology developments.

Focuses on the formulation and optimization of gas mixtures for anesthesia and intraoperative environments during transplantation surgeries. The role demands a deep understanding of gas solubility, diffusion properties, and interactions with biological tissues, crucial for maintaining physiological stability during extended surgeries.

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering or Applied Chemistry with specialization in gas-phase chemistries.
  • Proven track record in developing safe and effective breathing gas mixtures for medical or deep-sea diving applications.

  • Experience in synthesizing and testing neuroactive compounds, with a deep understanding of blood-brain barrier permeability.

Manages and cultivates relationships with potential and existing investors, navigating the complexities of funding high-risk medical innovations. This includes articulating the scientific and commercial potential of cutting-edge medical technologies, and strategizing long-term financial planning to support ambitious research goals.

Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent in Finance, with additional certification in Investor Relations or Corporate Finance.
  • Experience in biotechnology or medical device sectors, with a successful track record in capital raising and investor communications.
  • Strong analytical skills, adept at financial modeling and risk analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholder groups.
